What is the Prospect Cup in Rocket League?

Everything you need to know about Rocket League's entry-level tournament reward and its exact item drop rates.

If you’ve been grinding the competitive scene in Rocket League, you’ve likely participated in the scheduled in-game tournaments. Not only are these tournaments a great way to test your skills against players of similar ranks, but they also reward you with a special currency: Tournament Credits.

So, what do you do with those hard-earned credits? You spend them on Tournament Cups to unlock exclusive cosmetic items! Today, we are going to look at the entry-level reward tier: The Prospect Cup.

What is the Prospect Cup?

The Prospect Cup is the most basic tournament cup available in Rocket League. It is unlocked by default for everyone who participates in a competitive tournament, making it highly accessible regardless of your rank.

Opening a Prospect Cup costs 1,200 Tournament Credits. Because it is the cheapest cup available, it’s a great way to build up your inventory with lower-tier items that you can eventually trade up for better rewards using the in-game Trade-In system.

Prospect Cup Drop Chances: What Can You Expect?

Because it's the cheapest option, the Prospect Cup leans heavily toward Uncommon and Rare items, but it is still possible to pull high-tier items like Exotics and Black Markets if you get lucky.

Based on community data from over 1,350 opened Prospect Cups, here is the breakdown of your drop chances (based on a sample size of 50 cups opened per 60,000 credits):
